NORTH LINCOLNSHIRE

Drive east on the M180 and come off at junction 5 Humber Bridge turn off. Continue east on the A18 for another mile, signposted Airport, to the village of Melton Ross. Turn left towards Burnham, and then left again. Park in the little lane.

DISTANCE

30 kilometres. Starting from the village of Melton Ross, going north through Burnham as far as Barton upon Humber. From Barton, west towards Horkstow and then south east on the minor road overlooking the Ancholme valley, but above the villages on the the valley bottom, back to Melton Ross.

SURFACE/DESIGNATION

Mainly straight and level roads with only a couple of little hills. Surface generally good but some debris on the road after the hard winter.

SAFETY DETAILS

Skating is possible but classic rollers are recommended.

FACILITIES

You may stop in Barton for lunch or take some refreshment.

OTHER DETAILS

Fine views of the Humber Bridge, River Humber and the Ancholme valley.
