Aberdeen esplanade, path beside the road running along the beach at Aberdeen running from the mouth of the Don to the mouth of the Dee along the sea wall.

SURFACE/DESIGNATION

Upper path is good tarmac, lower path rougher tarmac. Path is mainly straight and flat. One slight down hill and bend at the river Don end plus up and down ramps between the upper and lower paths

SAFETY DETAILS

Both paths are shared with peds, runners, cyclists, dogs, inline skaters and old fogies out Nordic walking. The lower path is places narrower and busier. The area is designated for use by inline skaters so should be no access problems.

FACILITIES

Parking at the roadside, swimming pool, amusement arcades/funbeach, restaurants, cinema, excellent climbing wall and inline skate/BMX park and Pittodrie stadium are all close by.
