24km. There is a possibility of extending the route in both directions towards Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Tarmac cycle track with a good surface.
Occasional small cattle grids.
The route passes close to small towns, where facilities may be found.
The route is suitable for instruction, the access is good and the scenery is very pleasant. The route starts at Drumgelloch Railway station, Airdrie and ends near Bathgate Railway Station.
