Members of the public use the park. Probably best to visit at quieter times of the day.

Public toilets within Birkenhead Park. Shops nearby.

OTHER DETAILS

The park has been used for roller ski races. The Park has recently been extensively refurbished. The rough section of road by the triumphal main gate has been resurfaced. Unfortunately internal tracks have been resurfaced with gravel. (Only a local authority short of money would spend it on resurfacing tracks that did not need resurfacing with an inferior material).
