Cycle Route 62 from Southport to Aintree. Hardly any tarmac on this route.

Cycle Route 62 from Liverpool to Aintree. Passes through dubious areas of Liverpool, not short on grafitti or broken glass. Difficult to make a decent tour out of it as the train connections are remote from the ends that are skiable.

Storeton-Parkgate section of Cycle Route 56 - Mostly on roads which were rather busy for 'country lanes'. At Parkgate it joins the Wirral Way which is not surfaced.
